Founded in 2010 by Olivier Bendel, L’Entrecôte The Steak & Fries Bistro began as a charming Parisian-style eatery nestled in the heart of Duxton Hill, Singapore.
Inspired by a beloved 1950s concept from Paris, L’Entrecôte serves the iconic entrecôte steak—a premium cut of beef rib—paired with crispy golden fries and doused in our legendary secret sauce. It’s an ode to timeless French fare, brought to life with precision and passion.
A Parisian Classic, At Home in Singapore Since 2010
Our journey to L’Entrecôte the Steak & Fries Bistro began in the charming enclave of Duxton Hill with it’s red and white shophouses and cobble stone roads it was a match made in heaven. Inspired by the 1950s Parisian classic, Olivier meticulously created the traditional entrecôte and frites, setting a standard for authenticity that defines us to this day. Driven by a passion for our French Bistro soul, we have spent over a decade expanding Singapore's culinary landscape.
L'Entrecôte is built around one iconic dish: premium entrecôte steak, free-flow golden fries, and our legendary secret sauce a closely guarded recipe that has made us one of Singapore's most enduring French restaurants. Simple, satisfying, and completely addictive.
Three locations across Singapore: *Duxton Hill* (our original home, near Tanjong Pagar MRT), *River Valley* (Mohamed Sultan Road, Robertson Quay), and *Siglap* (East Coast Road). Open daily for lunch and dinner. Reservations recommended.
The Steak & Frites Tradition
The steak-frites tradition traces back to the classic Parisian brasserie, where a set menu built around a single main course was a democratic luxury exceptional food, no fuss, for everyone. In Paris, the concept became iconic. In Singapore, L'Entrecôte has made it our own.
Our entrecôte is a premium trimmed entrecôte steak cut, cooked to order, and served sliced with the sauce draped generously over the top. The fries are free-flow ask for more at any time. It is, in the truest sense, a meal that speaks for itself.
Beyond the Steak
While the steak-frites is the star, the full L'Entrecôte experience is unmistakably French. Start with Escargots de Bourgogne, a classic French Onion Soup, or tender Duck Rillette. End with our famous Salted Caramel Lava Cake or a our table side scooped Chocolate Mousse. Pair with a curated selection of French wines.
